Role description
HukariAscendent is a Women-Owned, Small Business specializing in comprehensive engineering and technical support services associated with commercial nuclear power and other Department of Energy (DOE) nuclear activities. Work Structure: On-Site (88/hr) in Aiken, SC or Remote (70/hr). 12 months contract with possible extension(s). Summary This position is primarily involved in work in the computer field performing systems analysis, design, development, documentation, testing, or modification of workflow systems or programs, specifically the enterprise EPC workflow system Kahua. Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities β€’ Maintain critical planning, monitoring, and reporting processes as well as required documentation, for the timely coordination and completion of project tasks. β€’ Work closely with team members and stakeholders to understand project requirements and contribute to the alignment of software solutions with organizational goals. β€’ Coordinate, direct, and lead project status meetings, confirm milestones, and ensure goals are achieved. β€’ Assist in various aspects of workflow development software projects, including design, testing, and deployment, under the guidance of senior team members to contribute to the successful execution of software projects based on area of responsibility. β€’ Maintain a customer-focused approach, addressing user needs and ensuring software solutions meet end-user requirements. β€’ Contribute to the development and coding of enterprise-level software applications. β€’ Participate with cross-functional team members in issue identification, process impacts, and solution development discussions to optimize end-to-end solutions β€’ Demonstrate proficiency in programming languages, frameworks, and tools relevant to enterprise application development. β€’ Communicate effectively with team members, providing updates on project progress, escalating complex problems to higher-level specialists and seeking guidance when needed. β€’ Maintain documentation related to software development, including coding standards, procedures, and user manuals. β€’ Stay informed about industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in software development. β€’ Contribute ideas for process improvements and innovative solutions to enhance software applications. β€’ Participate in training programs and collaborative knowledge-sharing activities within the team to enhance individual and collective expertise. β€’ Promote, encourage and model Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DE&I) principles across employees and contractors. β€’ Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and regulations, such as data privacy and cybersecurity standards. β€’ Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards β€’ Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies β€’ Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job β€’ May need to travel to attend to business related matters β€’ Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality β€’ Other duties as assigned. Customer Business Analyst / Project Manager β€’ Understand IT practices, guide strategy, and align with core strategies. β€’ Function as the primary driver of the client relationship β€’ Assist in guiding customer requests for new solutions or changes. β€’ Document requirements and obtain customer approval for development. β€’ Collaborate with application owners for IT-driven changes. β€’ Support adherence to IT strategy and methodologies. β€’ Oversee scope, schedule, and interfaces with IT teams. β€’ Review project objectives and propose cost-effective alternatives. β€’ Analyze complex processes, identify areas for improvement and recommend solutions. β€’ Define, analyze, develop, and document new systems, and programs to meet business needs. β€’ Responsible for multiple applications in a single functional area β€’ Execute project tasks with high quality standards. β€’ Coordinate software and hardware installation, deployment, and upgrades. β€’ Possess and successfully apply a growing knowledge of IT best practices. β€’ May need to assist in special project-related issues as needed. Typical Minimum Qualifications - Related Education, Experience & Skills β€’ Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and five (5) years β€’ of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to nine (9) years β€’ if non-degreed; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements β€’ Experience in the development and deployment of complex workflows for large projects preferred. β€’ Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors β€’ Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job β€’ Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines β€’ Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner β€’ These are the typical years of experience required for this job.
