Role description
No C/C No Third Party KDB+/Q Developer Hybrid every other week at any of these location: Boston, MA; Jersey City, NJ; Durham, NC; or Westlake, TX Pay rate is $200/h We are looking for an experienced KDB+ Developer to join a high-impact technology team focused on building critical brokerage applications for regulatory reporting across multiple asset classes. This is a hands-on development role where you'll collaborate with business and technical teams to ensure performance, scalability, and compliance in a highly regulated environment. What You’ll Bring β€’ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field (Master’s a plus) β€’ 6+ years of hands-on development experience with strong proficiency in: β€’ q/KDB+ programming β€’ Python, Shell/Perl scripting β€’ Unix/Linux β€’ SQL/Relational Databases (e.g., Oracle) β€’ Strong understanding of various programming paradigms and deployment automation β€’ Experience in Agile teams (Scrum or Kanban) and CI/CD workflows β€’ Familiarity with tools such as Git/Bitbucket, Jenkins, uDeploy, and Artifactory β€’ Strong problem-solving skills and passion for learning new technologies Bonus Skills (Nice to Have) β€’ Experience with AWS (S3, EC2, CloudFormation, Lambda, Python) β€’ Familiarity with Java, Spring Boot, and Kafka β€’ Exposure to UI frameworks like Angular or React β€’ Understanding of data flow, security, and compliance in a regulated environment
