Job Description:
Summary:
Responsible for planning and executing secure deployments across staging and production environments, managing a wide range of AWS services, and ensuring system reliability through proactive monitoring and incident response. Collaborates closely with InfoSec and development teams to integrate security into CI/CD pipelines, enforce secure coding practices, and develop automated tools for threat detection and vulnerability management. With a strong focus on compliance, operational excellence, and continuous improvement, this role plays a critical part in safeguarding enterprise systems and enabling secure software delivery at scale.

Essential Functions:
β’ Plan and execute secure deployments across staging and production environments, ensuring alignment with operational standards.
β’ Design, implement, and support AWS infrastructure including core services like EC2, EKS, IAM, and CloudFront.
β’ Integrate and maintain DevSecOps CI/CD pipelines, enabling secure, automated testing, deployment, and operations.
β’ Collaborate with InfoSec and development teams to implement security requirements, conduct threat reviews, and resolve vulnerabilities.
β’ Develop and enforce security best practices, including secure coding, compliance with enterprise policies, and use of automated security tools.
β’ Monitor system health and performance using Datadog, and lead incident response efforts for P1/P2 issues, including RCA and documentation.
β’ Develop and maintain technical documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures to support ongoing system reliability and knowledge sharing.
β’ Participate in global operations meetings and scrums to ensure coordination across regions and teams.
β’ Build and support cyber countermeasure capabilities to detect and prevent advanced threats across enterprise networks.
β’ Continuously improve security tooling, automation, and training to align with evolving industry standards and practices.
β’ Attend InfoSec meetings and discuss internally for prioritization and implementation

Competencies:
β’ Deep hands-on experience with AWS infrastructure and services.
β’ Strong knowledge of container orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes/EKS) and infrastructure-as-code tools (e.g., Terraform, CloudFormation).
β’ Proficiency in monitoring and alerting tools, especially Datadog.
β’ Experience in deployment automation, CI/CD pipelines, and configuration management.
β’ Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python, or PowerShell).
β’ Solid understanding of InfoSec principles and cloud security best practices.

Required Education and Experience:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business or related field
β’ Minimum of 6 years of experience in DevOps or cloud infrastructure roles.
β’ Proven experience in L3 support, production deployments, and AWS infrastructure management.
β’ Prior experience in handling P1/P2 incidents and leading RCA efforts in enterprise environments.
Knowledge & Skills:
β’ Knowledge of open security testing standards and projects, including OWASP
β’ Knowledge of remediation efforts for discovered vulnerabilities
β’ Knowldege of web application development, system administration, and the software and system development life cycle
β’ Knowledge of red-teaming and covert computer network exploitation
β’ Skilled in programming
β’ Knowledge of secure coding best practices
β’ Ability to craft custom exploits for proof-of-concept code
β’ Knowledge in helping build RCA documents for P1 and P2 issues
β’ Skileed in building/ creating Datadog alerts for all resource monitoring, including the runbooks
