The HALO team at Client leverages large volumes of data and state-of-the-art machine learning techniques to understand what our 1B members read and write about on Client .com. AI Engineers and Linguists work together to impact positively on the Client feed experience, personalized content recommendation, ads relevance and more.
We are seeking AI Linguists to join our diverse and interdisciplinary team to focus on AI quality, evaluation, and annotation and to contribute with their expertise to the annotation/human judgment pipeline development that lay at the foundation of the Client AI model development and improvement.
Responsibilities:
Design and execute on solutions for AI quality, evaluation, and annotation
Leverage Generative AI prompting, human input, hybrid approaches in the development of scalable and high-quality human judgment workflows
Conduct data-driven analysis and provide linguistic insights for project development
Be part of working groups that develop high-quality human judgment/annotation/evaluation pipelines
Create documentation and guidelines for standard procedures of internal processes
Research new methodologies for process and product improvement
Maximize productivity, process efficiency and quality through streamlined workflows, process standardization, documentation
Must-Have Skills
β’ Technical Solution Design: Ability to design annotation frameworks and jobs based on technical requirements.
β’ Annotation Guideline Development: Clear experience in writing instructions for annotators.
β’ Data Analytics: Ability to analyze post-annotation data and compute performance metrics.
β’ Basic Python: At least 1 year of experience; not building scripts but using/editing them for data processing.
β’ Google Spreadsheets: Advanced use, including formulas.
β’ Appen (or similar platform): Experience designing tasks on annotation platforms.
β’ Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work with engineers, data scientists, and product teams.
β’ Strong English Communication Skills
β’ Native Language Expertise (at least one of the following):
β’ French (France)
β’ German
β’ Spanish (Spain) or Brazilian Portuguese
Nice-to-Have Skills
β’ SQL: Used for metric calculations via scripting (not programming-heavy).
β’ Experience in Semantic Search, Prompt Engineering, or LLM-based workflows.
β’ Background in Computational Linguistics, Language Engineering, or related fields.
β’ Experience working with external vendors and training annotator workforce.
β’ Familiarity with Golden Set creation, quality assurance, model evaluation.
A reasonable, good faith estimate of the minimum and maximum hourly wage for this position is $52- $57/hr. on W2. Benefits will be available, and details are available at the following links:
