💥 Lead Architect / Founding Engineering Hire 💥 PE-backed, data-driven media & technology platform 📍 Central London (Hybrid: 1–3 days onsite) 💼 12-month FTC (strong chance of perm/broader engineering leadership position) 💸 £110,000 – £130,000 + Benefits Omnis Partners is partnering with a profitable, private-equity-backed business operating where data, media and physical-world digital platforms converge. They’re at the point of bringing engineering in-house for the first time, and this role is the foundational technical hire. 🧠 The opportunity Reporting directly to the CTO, you’ll take end-to-end responsibility for a live, revenue-generating data platform. You’ll: • Steady and optimise what’s already in production • Reduce unnecessary complexity and technical risk • Design and articulate the future-state architecture • Put scalable foundations in place for growth This is a hands-on leadership role architectural ownership first, execution where it counts. 🏗️ What you’ll be responsible for • A production data platform underpinning the core product • Technical debt management, architectural decisions and long-term design • Build vs buy strategy, data modelling and system integrations • Cloud infrastructure, reliability, performance and cost efficiency • CI/CD pipelines, deployment practices and engineering standards • Contributing to early hiring decisions and team structure This is true ownership, not a consulting or advisory remit. ⚙️Current stack (and yours to evolve) • Snowflake • AWS • Terraform • GitLab • AWS-native monitoring and security tooling 👤 This will suit you if you • Operate at Lead Architect / Principal Engineer / Senior Engineering Lead level • Have taken ownership of existing platforms in data-intensive, cloud-native environments • Balance technical quality with commercial realities, speed, cost and scale • Are comfortable being an early or founding engineering hire 🚀 Why this stands out • Live, business-critical systems • Genuine decision-making authority • Clear impact on both technology and company direction If you’re looking to own architecture end-to-end, work on a platform that already drives revenue, and help establish an engineering function from the ground up, this is a genuinely compelling role.
