A confidential financial services organization specializing in providing retirement plan solutions, recordkeeping, and fiduciary services is seeking a Lead BI Developer with Sigma experience to join its Enterprise Data team. This role requires a highly experienced professional to elevate business intelligence capabilities by building dashboards, optimizing data models, and ensuring effective collaboration with business users and technical teams.
The initial contract duration is 3-6 months, with potential for extension based on project needs and performance.
Responsibilities:
β’ Build, enhance, and finalize data dashboards using the Sigma BI platform.
β’ Partner with business users to tailor dashboards that meet their unique reporting needs.
β’ Expedite the completion of dashboards currently 60% developed, ensuring quality and usability.
β’ Implement data modeling best practices to structure and optimize datasets for BI reports.
β’ Collaborate with backend data teams to ensure necessary data pipelines and integrations are in place for reporting.
β’ Work closely with business users, analysts, and stakeholders to gather requirements, resolve challenges, and deliver actionable insights.
β’ Provide mentorship to team members who are less experienced with BI tools, particularly Sigma.
β’ Assist with broader data-related tasks related to Databricks, ETL, and other tools as required to ensure holistic support for data initiatives.
Required Skills & Experience:
β’ Extensive experience in developing dashboards and analytics with BI platforms, including hands-on expertise in Sigma BI.
β’ Background in data modeling and structuring datasets optimized for reporting and visualization.
β’ Experience with SQL and familiarity with ETL processes.
β’ Exposure to platforms like Databricks, and other modern data tools is a plus but not mandatory.
β’ Familiarity with related BI platforms like Tableau, Power BI, or Looker is a bonus.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
β’ Experience working in financial services or with retirement plan data solutions.
β’ Familiarity with fiduciary services or recordkeeping systems.
