Title: Lead BI Developer Location: 300 S Brevard St. Charlotte, NC Duration: 24 months Work Engagement: W-2 Work Schedule: 3 days in office/2 days remote Benefits on offer for this contract position: Health Insurance, Life insurance, 401K and Voluntary Benefits Summary: In this contingent resource assignment, you may: Consult on complex initiatives with broad impact and large-scale planning for Software Engineering. Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term Software Engineering challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors including intangibles or unprecedented factors. Contribute to the resolution of complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that meet deliverables. Strategically collaborate and consult with client personnel. Responsibilities: • Establishing standards on using Dremio • Development of reports and reporting capabilities using Dremio • Transitioning workflows from SQL Server onto a new framework using Apache Parquet, Apache Iceberg • Documenting best practices and configurations for Dremio in Confluence • Working with the business to advise on how to use Dremio to write reports Qualifications: • Applicants must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the U.S. This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship • Experience on prior Business Intelligence (BI) projects • Experience with BI Visualization/Reporting experience with tools such as Tableau, Power BI, etc. • SQL experience • Experience working in an Agile environment • Apache Iceberg, Dremio, Apache Parquet, Spark experience (preferred) • Familiar with Jira, Confluence, and Power BI reporting (preferred) • Prior Capital Markets experience and/or Banking experience (preferred) • Prior experience in as a lead in a BI project (preferred)
