Role description
Key Responsibilities:
Lead data engineering initiatives to implement scalable ETL/ELT solutions optimized for performance.
Develop and update ETL/ELT scripts to support business and technical requirements.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, test, and deploy data pipelines.
Ensure data modeling, relational database design, and implementation align with organizational needs.
Provide technical leadership and direction to data engineering teams.
Troubleshoot complex issues and provide analytical solutions.
Required Skills & Experience:
5–7 years of experience as an Ab Initio Developer with AWS Cloud expertise.
Experience with Cloudera (preferred).
Healthcare industry experience is a plus.
Minimum 8 years of total experience in data engineering and team leadership.
Strong hands-on background in application development, relational database design, and data modeling.
Education Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field.
In lieu of a degree, an additional 4 years of relevant work experience is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency in at least one programming language (SQL, NoSQL, Python).
Expertise in database design and implementation.
Strong understanding of data exchange formats and data movement concepts.
Exceptional problem-solving, analytical, and troubleshooting skills.
Strong organizational, leadership, and communication skills (written & verbal).
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while handling multiple priorities.
Previous experience in healthcare data projects preferred.
