Role description
An AUTOMOTIVE OEM is looking for a LEAD DATA MANAGEMENT ANALYST to support the technology needs of the organization. This LONG TERM CONTRACT POSITION (with possibility of extension and even transitioning to direct) will have a range of duties including leading technology upgrades and maintenance, tracking database projects, identifying potential platform upgrades, interacting with stakeholders, and more.
Day to day (3 days onsite, 2 days remote):
Lead maintenance and update of project tracking databases, including coding/programming of them
Lead transition of team information to new collaboration platforms (Notion, Teams, etc.), including identification of best platforms for each purpose and education of team members on them
Support technology and feature market analysis aimed at identifying opportunities for the organization
Participate in technology scouting activities, summarizing information in report-outs and working with team members to translate high potential items into action
Proactively propose and execute βvalue addedβ activities that deliver strategic insights or provide additional value to internal stakeholders
Qualifications:
5 years of experience in business analytics, project management, database development, or a similar field
Experience managing large amounts of complex data in an automotive or technology-focused organization
An open mind, a passion for technology, and the desire to help the organization become a leading global smart mobility provider
Expertise in database and information management tools
A broad understanding of the automotive market and technology landscape is a plus
A proven track record organizing and leading large open-ended projects in a time- and resource-constrained environment, even when required contributors are not under direct control is a plus
Experience distilling complex information into understandable visuals and actionable strategic recommendations is a plus
Experience with some of the following is a plus: Tableau, PowerBI, Jira, Notion, Confluence, Smartsheets
Flexibility to adapt to changing job priorities and tasks as needed
Ability to attend video conferences with colleagues from other time zones as needed (typically 3-4x per year from 7-8pm US Eastern time)
The ability to work independently and in small teams in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment
Excellent written and oral communication skills
Proficiency with MS Office, especially PowerPoint and Excel
Ability to travel up to 15% of time domestically and internationally
Must Haves: Prior database management, business analysis, data analysis, or related project management
