Title: Lead Data Scientist

Compensation: approx $60/hr max, potential flexibility to $65/hr for more experienced candidates.
Must Haves
β’ Masters or PHD in Data Sci, Comp Sci, Stat, or related field
β’ 5yrs+ Experience in data science related roles
β’ Proficiency in Python and BigQuery, strong experience with Google Cloud
β’ Expertise in ML-Ops, including working with DAGs and following CI/CD pipelines
β’ Knowledge of Time Series forecasting techniques, and ML Methods including classics like SARIMA, exponential smoothing, time series regressions, and LSTM, XGBoost, etc
β’ Understanding of and experience with casual inference methods (difference in differences, synthetic control, instrumental variables, etc) and experimental design
β’ Problem solving skills and the ability to work with complex data sets
β’ Strong communication and the ability to lead/mentor a team of data scientists
Job Summary
Thank you so much for your interest! This position requires at least 5yrs of expertise deploying models using GCP. Overall this role will be 80% GCP (Vertex AI pipelines, BigQuery, CI/CD implementation and orchestration, Github, Docker) and 20% Machine Learning/Coding (Python, some statistical knowledge, Jira, Confluence). Where the 'Lead' title comes into play is you'll be expected to mentor/teach the intricacies of GCP to the team, you will not be managing people.
