Long term contract

Direct client opportunity
No mid layer / Nop Implementation partners are Involved
Weβre looking for a hands-on Lead DevOps Engineer to take ownership of our infrastructure and platform reliability in a fast-moving environment. Youβll be joining a high-impact team responsible for building and operating scalable systems with minimal oversight. Ideal candidates thrive in environments where they wear multiple hats, think independently, and drive solutions from concept to production.
Responsibilities and duties
β’ Lead infrastructure architecture, containerization, and deployment strategies using Kubernetes and modern DevOps tools.
β’ Own cluster performance tuning, cost management, and capacity planning.
β’ Design and maintain robust observability practices (monitoring, logging, alerting) to drive reliability and performance insights.
β’ Ensure platform security through best practices and automated guardrails.
β’ Champion Infrastructure as Code practices using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or CloudFormation.
β’ Proactively debug and resolve complex systems issues involving infrastructure, networking, third-party integrations, and storage systems.
β’ Partner closely with engineering teams to build developer-friendly CI/CD pipelines and deployment workflows.
β’ Set direction and mentor teammates as the technical leader of the DevOps discipline.
Skills and qualifications
Required skills and experience:
β’ 6+ years of hands-on DevOps experience, including recent leadership in infrastructure or platform engineering roles.
β’ Deep expertise in Kubernetes (concepts, APIs, components), with real-world implementation experience.
β’ Fluency in infrastructure-as-code tools and cloud-native deployment strategies.
β’ Proficiency in scripting or coding (e.g., Python, Go, or similar).
β’ Strong grasp of observability tooling and techniques (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
β’ Proven troubleshooting chops β youβre the person people call when βnothing makes sense.β
β’ Comfort in fast-paced environments with minimal structure β youβre autonomous, pragmatic, and bias toward action.
β’ Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
Pay Range: $70/hr - $75/hr
The specific compensation for this position will be determined by a number of factors, including the scope, complexity and location of the role as well as the cost of labor in the market; the skills, education, training, credentials and experience of the candidate; and other conditions of employment. Our full-time consultants have access to benefits including medical, dental, and vision as well as 401K contributions.
