Role description
We are seeking a Senior DevOps Engineer with strong expertise in cloud infrastructure, container orchestration, and automation frameworks to join a team building advanced frameworks that support machine learning (ML) pipelines for video content and data extraction from unstructured sources (images, PDFs). This role focuses on automating CI/CD deployment processes, enhancing observability across distributed systems, and driving scalable cloud-native solutions using AWS, Kubernetes, and Terraform. The ideal candidate will be proficient in Go or Python, capable of leading engineers while remaining hands-on in designing and implementing infrastructure as code (IaC), monitoring, and deployment pipelines.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Lead and mentor junior and mid-level DevOps engineers
β’ Automate deployment processes and create unified deployment solutions.
β’ Collaborate with SRE teams to enhance observability and monitoring practices.
β’ Explore and evaluate alternative cloud platforms, including potential private cloud migration.
β’ Potentially contribute to development tasks depending on bandwidth.
Required Skills & Experience
β’ 5+ years of experience in DevOps engineering.
β’ Strong expertise in:
β’ AWS (cloud services, networking, IAM, cost optimization)
β’ Kubernetes (cluster management, Helm, scaling, service mesh)
β’ Terraform (IaC, modularization, state management)
β’ Proficiency in Go or Python (for automation, scripting, or service development).
β’ Ability to operate beyond traditional DevOps responsibilities, with a proactive and solution-driven approach.
Preferred/Bonus Skills
β’ Background in AI/ML workflows or data engineering pipelines.
β’ Experience with large-scale public cloud implementations and hybrid/private cloud migration.
β’ Familiarity with observability tools and practices (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk)
