Job Title: Lead Software Engineer β Endur (ETRM/CTRM)
Location: Houston, Texas
Responsibilities:
β’ Lead, coach, and mentor Endur developers across multiple teams responsible for various ETRM feature areas aligned by commodity (LNG, Power, Gas, Environmental Products) or function (Front, Middle, Back Office, Integration).
β’ Ensure teams follow standards for architecture, design, testing, documentation, security, and coding practices.
β’ Promote and improve CI/CD processes within teams to maintain consistent quality and delivery.
β’ Encourage innovative solutions to existing problems and new opportunities.
β’ Drive continuous improvement in effort estimation and sprint planning.
β’ Gather requirements from end users and business analysts to define functional needs.
β’ Lead the design and development of Endur plugins using OpenJVS and OpenComponents.
β’ Develop external applications with OpenComponents and extensions like Result Calculators and Curve Constructors.
β’ Ensure comprehensive unit, integration, and performance testing coverage for all developments.
β’ Lead Proof of Concepts (PoCs) to validate new approaches and technologies.
β’ Maintain thorough technical documentation for all developed solutions.
β’ Facilitate continuous improvement in sprint demos and peer code reviews.
β’ Manage production issue troubleshooting and remediation effectively.
β’ Provide oversight and guidance to junior team members and collaborate with multiple teams.
Qualifications:
β’ Bachelorβs degree in IT or related field.
β’ 10+ years of IT experience, with at least 7 years working extensively with Endur in trading environments.
β’ Proven experience leading Endur implementation programs and development teams.
β’ Strong object-oriented development skills including knowledge of dependency injection and test-driven development.
β’ Solid experience in structured CI/CD processes ensuring quality and consistency.
β’ Expertise in Java (version 8+), including multi-threading, JUnit, Maven, logging frameworks, Apache libraries, and GoF design patterns.
β’ Proficient in MS SQL Server, SQL, and PL/SQL.
β’ Experience with Kafka messaging systems.
β’ Familiarity with monitoring solutions such as Azure Insights and Grafana.
β’ Knowledge of Azure DevOps for development lifecycle management.
β’ Deep understanding of Endurβs transactional and static data models focused on power and gas markets.
β’ Extensive Endur plugin development experience in Deal Entry, Back Office, Valuation, Reporting, and related modules.
β’ Experience configuring Endur components including Grid, Domain Services (APM, Credit, Log Monitor), and Workflows.
β’ Skilled at integrating Endur with external applications for data transfer.
β’ Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
β’ Servant leadership style with focus on team empowerment, transparency, and agile best practices.
β’ Ability to adapt and learn quickly in ambiguous or unfamiliar situations.
β’ Strong stakeholder management and communication skills preferred.
