Responsibilities:
• Oversee production systems including code deployment, performance, and support.
• Facilitate and lead code deployments and production support; provide guidance and technical oversight.
• Translate business needs into detailed technical requirements and collaborate closely with business analysts and stakeholders.
• Design and implement scalable BI infrastructure to support mortgage and title operations, risk analysis, and compliance reporting.
• Develop and maintain APIs that integrate with LOS platforms (e.g., Encompass, Blend), title platforms (e.g., SoftPro, CloseSimple), credit/income verification services, and investor systems.
• Lead data integration efforts across internal systems and third-party providers to enable accurate, real-time data flow.
• Collaborate with teams across operations, compliance, and analytics to define data models and reporting standards.
• Build Power BI dashboards and data models for operational and executive use.
• Optimize ETL/ELT pipelines for performance, reliability, and auditability.
• Ensure API security, compliance (e.g., SOC 2, GDPR, HMDA), and proper documentation.
• Mentor engineering team members and help shape the technical roadmap.
• Ensure data governance, security, and audit compliance (including SOX).
• Own the performance, scalability, and administration of BI, database, and reporting platforms.
• Manage end user testing and final production approvals.
• Provide third-level support for technical issues and help desk escalations.
• Maintain system documentation and support materials.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
• 7+ years of software engineering experience, with strong emphasis on BI systems and API development.
• Solid understanding of mortgage lending and title services systems, including LOS, AUS, HMDA, and MISMO standards.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, JavaScript/Node.js, or Java.
• Experience with Power BI (including DAX, modeling, and publishing).
• Skilled with SQL Server, SSIS, and other ETL tools (e.g., dbt, Talend, Informatica).
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization tools (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong SQL and data warehousing experience (e.g., Snowflake, Redshift).
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet strict deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and customer service skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with mortgage tech platforms (e.g., Encompass, ICE Mortgage Tech, Blend, Optimal Blue, SoftPro, CloseSimple).
• Knowledge of compliance and regulatory reporting (e.g., HMDA, TRID, RESPA).
• Familiarity with event-driven architecture and tools like Kafka.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.

• Must be able to remain in a stationary position for extended periods.
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds occasionally.
• May require occasional travel.
