Optomi, in partnership with a leading diagnostics and healthcare technology company, is seeking a Lead Project Analyst/Engineer to join their team. This role is critical in supporting, enhancing, and deploying their Specimen Integrity System (SIS) across a fast‑growing enterprise. You will function as the technical equivalent of a managerial branch—balancing day‑to‑day system support and development with hands‑on coding, troubleshooting, and deployment coordination. If you thrive in a fast‑paced environment, enjoy resolving conflicts and rolling up your sleeves to build solutions, this is an opportunity to make a tangible impact in healthcare technology.
Experience of the Right Candidate
• 5+ years of software development experience, preferably at the enterprise level.
• Strong expertise in C# and Windows C# Services.
• Proficiency with SQL Server 2019 or newer (SSMS/SSRS experience is a plus; SSIS a bonus).
• Solid understanding of Windows Server 2019 or newer and strong skills across the Microsoft Suite.
• Comfortable with API development, .NET Core, .NET Framework, and VB.NET (VB6 exposure is a big plus).
• Proven background managing or coordinating complex development projects and rolling deployments.
• Experience mentoring team members and helping to resolve technical conflicts in a collaborative way.
• Familiarity with healthcare IT systems, laboratory operations, or highly regulated environments is a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities of the Right Candidate
• Lead and support development and maintenance efforts for the Specimen Integrity System (SIS).
• Oversee rolling deployments, ensuring smooth integration of updates and minimal disruption to operations.
• Provide day‑to‑day system support, troubleshooting issues and resolving them efficiently.
• Work closely with the SIS team and stakeholders to coordinate schedules, plan enhancements, and deliver features on time.
• Roll up your sleeves to write and maintain code, jumping in when programming expertise is needed.
• Assist with system migrations and integrations tied to acquisitions or new features.
• Prepare and maintain documentation for development processes, coding standards, and operational workflows.
• Act as a technical leader—mentor peers, provide guidance, and help establish best practices.
• Monitor system performance and proactively recommend improvements for scalability and reliability.
