Role description
Job Title: Lead Python Developer Location: Raleigh, NC (Local Only) Job Description: We are seeking a Lead Python Developer with 10+ years of hands-on development experience and strong technical leadership skills. The ideal candidate will lead a development team, architect solutions, optimize code, and collaborate with business and cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality applications. Key Responsibilities: • Lead and mentor the development team; perform requirement analysis and code reviews. • Develop and optimize applications using Python, Django/Flask, and large dataset processing. • Manage MS SQL Server queries; experience with PostgreSQL is a plus. • Oversee deployments, CI/CD pipelines (Git, Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions). • Collaborate with business, product owners, designers, and QA teams. • Work in Agile/Scrum environment using tools like ServiceNow. Required Skills: • 10+ years of Python development; 3–4 years in a technical leadership role. • Strong experience in API development, performance optimization, and deployments. • Database expertise in MS SQL Server; PostgreSQL preferred. • Strong communication, problem-solving, and leadership abilities. • Banking or lending industry experience is a plus; PD/LGD model knowledge is an added advantage.
