Job Title: DevOps Engineer Location: Westlake Village, CA (Hybrid / Onsite) Duration: 6-12+ Months Contract to Hire Responsibilities Job Description: The Sr DevOps Engineer Will Be β€’ Automated Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform β€’ Proven experience implementing the full Terraform lifecycle (plan, apply, destroy) within automated CI/CD pipelines. β€’ Proven experience building modules and must be proficient with Terraform remote state management (e.g., using S3 and DynamoDB), workspaces, and handling sensitive outputs securely. β€’ .NET Build and Deployment Automation β€’ Experience creating pipeline stages that reliably compile, test, and package .NET applications (dotnet build, dotnet publish). β€’ Hands-on experience with containerizing .NET applications using Docker and pushing images to a container registry (e.g., ECR). β€’ GitLab CI/CD Pipeline Mastery β€’ Demonstrated ability to author, maintain, and optimize complex gitlab-ci.yml files using advanced features like parent-child pipelines, components, dynamic job generation, and reusable templates (include). β€’ Proficient in caching, artifacts, and secure variable/secret management (e.g., GitLab secrets, AWS Secrets Manager integration). β€’ Practical AWS Services and Security Integration β€’ Strong knowledge of core AWS services, including IAM, S3, EC2, ECS/Fargate, and Lambda, as deployment targets. β€’ DevOps and Security Best Practices Mindset β€’ Focus on creating modular, maintainable, and observable pipelines and patterns with clear logging, monitoring hooks, and rollback strategies. What You’ll Bring Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience 7+ years of experience in cloud infrastructure, automation, and deployment pipelines AWS Cloud experience is a must have Proficiency in infrastructure automation and configuration management Experience designing and managing scalable, secure, and highly available cloud architectures Deep understanding of CI/CD pipelines and release automation Familiarity with monitoring, logging, and observability best practices Strong scripting and automation skills for operational efficiency Experience working with security and compliance frameworks in cloud environments Ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues across distributed systems Strong communication skills and experience collaborating with engineering, security, and operations teams
