Are you ready to push the boundaries of artificial intelligence and contribute to groundbreaking innovations? Samsung Research is seeking a passionate and talented Machine Learning Engineer to join our AI Research Team at the Samsung Research and Development Institute, UK (SRUK).
What You’ll Do:
• Conduct cutting-edge research to develop state-of-the-art AI solutions or propose novel challenges based on real-world case studies.
• Develop high-quality, reproducible code and documentation to support research in local and international AI communities.
• Review and analyze the latest research papers to create prototype solutions that address complex AI problems.
• Publish your findings in top-tier conferences and journals, including NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, CVPR, and more.
What We’re Looking For:
• A PhD in Machine Learning, AI, Computer Science/Engineering, or a related field (or pursuing one).
• Strong expertise in mathematics (calculus, probability, statistics, linear algebra, optimization) and computer science (algorithms, data structures, parallel/distributed computing).
• Solid foundations in Machine Learning, Computer Vision, and Deep Learning.
• Hands-on experience in one of these areas: Generative AI, Foundation Models, PEFT, Data/Model Privacy, or Model Optimization for Multi-Task Learning.
• First-author publications in top ML/AI conferences/journals (e.g., ICML, NeurIPS, ICLR, CVPR, ECCV, IEEE TPAMI, AAAI).
• Proficiency in Linux environments and programming languages like Python, Java, or C++.
• Experience with machine learning libraries such as PyTorch, SciKit, NumPy, and more.
• Exceptional communication skills, teamwork abilities, and a results-driven mindset.
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Desirable Skills:
• Expertise in Image/Video generation, PEFT-LoRA, Diffusion/Autoregressive Models.
• Experience with Knowledge Distillation and computer graphics/rendering for visualization.
