Machine Learning Engineer / Gen AI

ITTConnect is seeking an ML Engineer / Gen AI specialist to work for one of our clients, a major Technology Consulting firm with headquarters in Europe. They are experts in tailored technology consulting and services to banks, investment firms and other Financial vertical clients. Job location: San Francisco Bay area or NY City. Work Model: Ability to come into the office as requested Citizenship Requirement: U.S. Citizens Only Seniority: 10+ years of total experience About the role: The GenAI / ML Engineer will drive AI adoption across the organization. You will prototype and put in production generative AI features, integrate LLMs, and build infrastructure for inference. Responsibilities: • Integrate GenAI models (OpenAI, Anthropic, or local LLMs). • Perform fine-tuning, RAG, or prompt engineering. • Build and operate GPU-based inference systems, often on Kubernetes. • Embed AI capabilities into software products and services. • Collaborate closely with platform, data, and engineering teams. Requirements: • 10+ years of overall technology experience • 4+ years hands-on Machine Learning / GenAI experience required • Experience with LLMs, Python, and ML engineering practices. • Background in cloud-based AI deployment (AWS preferred). • Experience with GenAI products (such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Vertex AI, Azure OpenAI Service, RAG products, Elastic AI Search, AWS OpenSearch Vector Engine, etc)
