KIPP Nashville Schools and Regional Team depend on accurate, timely, and relevant data to make decisions that support our students and staff. Providing that accurate, timely, and relevant data requires the meticulous upkeep of a complex system of data tools. KIPP Nashville is seeking a Manager of Data Analytics to support the management, maintenance, and constant improvement of our data system environment.
This position is a temporary, 6-month contract for 20 hours of work weekly, with the possibility of extending and becoming full-time. Pay rate for this position will be $50-$75/hour depending on qualifications and experience.
What You'll Do:
The Manager of Data Analytics plays a critical role in driving academic performance and operational efficiency across the KIPP Nashville region. This role leads the development and execution of strategic data initiatives, including the design and management of dashboards, analysis pipelines, and performance reporting systems. By providing actionable insights and high-quality data tools, the analyst supports regional leaders, school leaders, instructional coaches, and operations teams in making informed decisions that positively impact student outcomes.
Strategic Data Leadership
Design, build, and maintain key dashboards used by regional and school leaders to monitor progress and drive instructional decisions.
Partner with school and regional leadership to translate priorities into measurable metrics and aligned data systems.
Clean, compile, and analyze data across content areas to support reporting and analysis.
Data Infrastructure and Systems Management
Oversee the creation and optimization of SQL Server stored procedures, views, and temporary tables to improve query performance across large-scale datasets.
Integrate and manage data from multiple platforms (e.g., PowerSchool, Infinite Campus, Illuminate, MasteryConnect, Amplify) to ensure consistent and accurate reporting.
Develop and maintain Tableau dashboards and calculated fields, ensuring dynamic, flexible reporting tools for end users.
Collaboration and Cross-Functional Support
Train and support school-based staff in interpreting data, using dashboards effectively, and applying insights to instruction, grading, and interventions.
Manage communication with key stakeholders, including principals and regional leaders, during system rollouts or incidents that impact gradebooks, report cards, or data platforms.
Quality Assurance and Innovation
Ensure accuracy and consistency across instructional platforms.
Regularly evaluate and improve existing dashboards and data pipelines to better support instructional coaching, academic interventions, and student success tracking.
Proactively identify data trends and provide strategic recommendations to leadership on areas for improvement.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in education data analysis, preferably in a K-12 environment
Proficiency in SQL, Tableau, and data architecture in SQL Server environments
Strong understanding of K-12 platforms (e.g., Infinite Campus, PowerSchool, Renaissance DnA, Amplify)
Proven ability to manage large datasets and create accessible, actionable data tools
Excellent communication and project management skills
