Role description
Our financial services client is seeking a Marketing Analyst to work a 7-month assignment (40 hrs/week) in Austin, TX. Candidates must be able to work onsite in Austin 4 days/week (can WFH remaining day).
The Marketing Analyst is responsible for effectively developing and executing Lead Management across B2B lines of business. The primary focus is on evolving the Lead Management strategy to continually provide better leads to sales teams, and understand the prospect experience in order to leverage marketing activities to guide the customer through the shopping journey. You will have a strong blend of consulting/facilitation experience, marketing knowledge, Marketo and lead management experience. Along with marketing funnel metrics, OKRs, and attribution.
Essential functions include:
β’ Executing and aligning with the Lead Management strategy, including providing recommendations and best practices for all stages of the lead flow, expansion and evolution for Lead Management.
β’ Expansive knowledge and understanding of the buyer journey from Suspect to Client, through cross-sell opportunities and deepening client relationships. Including the customer mindset and pain points in each stage of the journey, and how marketing can and does move quality leads through that journey.
β’ Develop insightful measurements and dashboards to track progress, determine improvement areas, and monitor to quickly identify problems.
β’ Leveraging data to understand the prospect experience through the lifecycle and work to identify which behaviors detect a quality lead that is likely to convert.
β’ Leading functional expansions which may include launching lead forms and developing new scoring models (e.g. cross-sell scoring models).
β’ Facilitate discussions with marketing and sales to identify improvement areas.
β’ Establishing strong, trusted relationships with several cross functional partners to drive the evolution of lead management and marketing funnel analytics and insights.
β’ Being the subject matter expert and core advocate for best practices, including lead capture, nurture marketing, scoring and reporting.
β’ Socializing our vision, work, and results with business partners across the firm, maintaining a strong working relationship with marketing and sales.
β’ Identify overlaps between the different BU's and work to share beneficial practices
β’ Identify areas where Marketing Automation and nurture activities could improve the prospect experience and drive more quality leads through the funnel. Be a thought partner to marketers as they develop campaigns to meet these objectives.
β’ Determine and develop improved pipeline reporting KPIs and analytics across the B2B business lines.
β’ Maintaining lead scoring, routing, and lead lifecycle (Revenue Cycle Modeler) functionality within Marketo, ensuring all is functioning properly.
β’ Building deep relationships and foster discussions that ensure sales and marketing alignment.
β’ Ensure Sales and Marketing partners have the tools and training to understand, and handle leads effectively and efficiently.
β’ Developing long-term strategies for lead scoring improvements including assessing 3rd party software and determining the criteria that may identify lead propensity.
What you have:
β’ Minimum 5 years' experience within a marketing role or organization.
β’ Previous experience working with cross-functional partners.
β’ Experience with using a Marketing Automation systems, such as Salesforce Marketing Cloud and Marketo.
β’ Experience with data visualization, reporting and analytics platforms such as SQL, Alteryx and Tableau.
β’ Experience with using a Customer Relationship Management system, preferably Salesforce
β’ Demonstrated ability to facilitate discussions with cross functional partners, asking probing questions to understand motivations and perspectives, then driving to recommendations and consensus.
β’ Ability to use graphics to quickly convey critical business insights and communicate this to non-data people through clear and simple language.
β’ Ability to listen to partner questions/needs and provide strong recommendations on what to measure and the details required to trust those measurements.
β’ Centralize and promote reports and dashboards to ensure partner awareness and usage.
β’ Able to present ideas concisely to influence understanding and consensus.
β’ Quick learner, to get up to speed quickly on complex business processes and organizations.
β’ Knowledge of the buyer journey / lead lifecycle process, personas, and how marketing can target and nurture specific personas to improve marketing effectiveness to drive new business.
β’ Strategic thinker with the ability to drive high level strategy and evolution, while still managing the day-to-day details.
β’ Collaborative, solutions-oriented problem solver.
β’ Ability to synthesize data to see the human experience behind that data.
