Role description
Role Overview
The MDG Data Analyst will support day-to-day Master Data Governance (MDG) operations within Oracle Fusion Enterprise Data Management (EDM). This role is execution-focused and centered on data creation, validation, workflow coordination, and data quality assurance to ensure Finance teams have accurate, governed data for mapping and reporting.
Key Responsibilities
• Use Oracle Fusion / EDM to create, update, and maintain governed master data.
• Support Title Management and Chart of Accounts (FCGL) data requests while ensuring validation rules and hierarchy placement are met.
• Monitor workflow queues, manage request status, and coordinate approvals, pushbacks, and rework.
• Perform data quality checks, validation, and legacy mapping updates.
• Assist during cutover, freeze periods, and high-volume operational cycles.
• Maintain documentation, job aids, and track operational metrics such as request volume and turnaround time.
Must-Have Skills
• 1–3 years experience in data, finance operations, ERP support, or master data roles.
• Familiarity with Oracle Fusion, EDM, or workflow-driven data tools.
• Strong Excel skills and comfort working with structured data and validation rules.
• High attention to detail and ability to follow governed processes precisely.
• Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate with Finance and IT stakeholders.
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related field.
Nice to Have
• Experience with Master Data Governance, Title/Content data, or Chart of Accounts.
• Exposure to workflow approvals and high-volume operational or go-live environments.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
