Responsibilities
Kforce has an enterprise client seeking a Materials Manager in Westborough, MA. Summary: At the core of the Production Planner role is driving end-to-end planning excellence through the strategic implementation of advanced supply chain planning technology and optimized workflows. This leader serves as a subject matter expert, guiding the technical transition from legacy systems to a modern, integrated planning platform. They will oversee the execution of critical planning processes, including finite production scheduling, material requirements planning, capacity planning, and inventory optimization. The Production Planner partners cross-functionally to streamline planning processes, eliminate manual tasks, and enhance planning capabilities to improve customer service, reduce costs, and optimize working capital. Core Responsibilities:
β’ Develop and maintain the finite production schedule and material requirements plan based on forecasted demand, inventory levels, and production capacity
β’ Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics to ensure supply plans are feasible and executable
β’ Manage inventory levels and replenishment strategies to optimize working capital while maintaining target service levels
β’ Participate in the S&OP process to align supply plans with demand forecasts and business objectives
β’ Identify and resolve supply-demand gaps through scenario planning and adjustments to supply parameters
β’ Communicate supply-related risks, constraints, and mitigation plans to key stakeholders
β’ Leverage planning systems, data, and analytics to generate optimized supply plans
β’ Monitor supply plan performance against KPIs such as schedule adherence, inventory turns, and supplier delivery
β’ Identify opportunities to improve supply planning processes, tools, and data quality
β’ Work cross-functionally to drive alignment between various teams and communicate changes
Requirements
β’ Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical field
β’ 1+ years of experience in production planning, supply chain, or a related field
β’ Lean Manufacturing experience
β’ Understanding Production Scheduling Concepts
β’ End to end supply knowledge for replenishment planning
β’ Deep understanding of advanced planning strategies and replenishment processes
β’ Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
β’ Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau, Power BI)
β’ Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
β’ Excellent problem-solving and process improvement skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical solutions
β’ Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities, with the ability to influence cross-functional teams
β’ Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
β’ Include examples of measurable results from previous experience on resume
Preferred Qualifications
β’ Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related technical discipline
β’ Certified Kinaxis Author or Advanced User certification
β’ Experience with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and process optimization
β’ APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
β’ Knowledge of emerging technologies in the supply chain and logistics space (e.g. IoT, machine learning)
The pay range is the lowest to highest compensation we reasonably in good faith believe we would pay at posting for this role. We may ultimately pay more or less than this range. Employee pay is based on factors like relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, location, performance, union contract and business needs. This range may be modified in the future.
We offer comprehensive benefits including medical/dental/vision insurance, HSA, FSA, 401(k), and life, disability & ADD insurance to eligible employees. Salaried personnel receive paid time off. Hourly employees are not eligible for paid time off unless required by law. Hourly employees on a Service Contract Act project are eligible for paid sick leave.
