Job Description
• The client Robotics is located in the greater Boston area, the epicenter of robotics innovation. Our diverse team of engineers come from all over the world to design, test and build our dynamic fleet of robots and mechatronic systems. Having our offices, labs, test floors and factories all co-located means that we can design the hardware, write the code, test, build and watch it all come to life.
• This allows us to innovate quickly and on limitless ideas.
• At the core of the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner's responsibilities is driving inventory optimization and accuracy across the organization.
• The Inventory Control & Configuration Planner is focused on executing effective cycle count programs, investigating inventory discrepancies, and fine-tuning inventory levels to meet customer demand.
• This includes leveraging advanced data analytics to uncover optimization opportunities and then collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement solutions.
• The Inventory Control & Configuration Planner also plays a key role in configuration management, partnering with engineering teams to maintain accurate master data, create and update bills of materials (BOMs), and manage engineering change orders. In addition to these operational responsibilities, the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner strives to streamline inventory management processes and introduce system automation where possible. By delivering inventory optimization and accuracy, as well as robust configuration management, the Inventory Control & Configuration Planner contributes directly to enhancing the overall customer experience.
Core Responsibilities
• Ensure inventory accuracy across assigned program by implementing inventory controls and replenishment processes
• Develop and execute effective cycle count programs to maintain inventory accuracy
• Investigate inventory discrepancies, determine root causes, and implement corrective actions
• Analyze inventory data, identify optimization opportunities, and recommend solutions to improve turns, reduce waste, and enhance the customer experience
• Partner with engineering teams on configuration management, including maintaining accurate master data, creating and updating bills of materials (BOMs), and managing engineering change orders
• Collaborate with procurement, operations, and finance teams to align on inventory goals and drive initiatives to achieve them
• Design and deploy streamlined inventory management workflows, leveraging system automation where possible
• Create and maintain comprehensive standard operating procedures for inventory-related activities
• Support the implementation of inventory management system upgrades and enhancements
• Contribute to cross-functional projects related to engineering changes, master data management, and supply chain improvements
• Provide analytical reports and actionable insights to senior leadership
Story Behind the Need – Business Group & Key Projects
Group
• Robotics Manufacturing & Technical Operations (RMTO) team.
• The team owns manufacturing planning for Robotics Manufacturing.
• This entails all of the production scheduling, capacity planning, production control, inventory management, and warehousing operations.
• This role will specifically support production control which will support the manufacturing floor that builds robotics for their FC network. Supporting the NPI programs that are building new robots.
• Someone that has lean manufacturing background.
• Has material management in a manufacturing environment is what the HM would be looking for.
Typical Day in the Role
Training/ Ramp- up
• Looking for someone who has good foundation knowledge in supply chain management in manufacturing. 2 weeks expected to work on their own program assigned independently with HM providing a weekly to multiple times a week over site in terms of what they are doing but are expected to start contribution within2 weeks of shadowing

Required Qualifications:
• 3+ years of experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain
• Expertise in inventory planning, forecasting, replenishment, and optimization
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Strong problem-solving, analytical, and process improvement skills
• Proficient in supply chain management tools and technologies
• Proficient in SQL and data visualization to drive key insights (Tableau, Power BI)
• Bachelor's degree in supply chain, operations, industrial engineering, or a related field
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in inventory management, manufacturing, or supply chain
• Knowledge of Lean/Six Sigma process improvement methodologies
• Experience with SAP S4/HANA and Oracle EBS
• APICS Certification CPIM or CSCP
• Strong background in change management and driving system automation
• Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional projects
• Master's degree in supply chain management or business administration
