We are looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Senior Data Engineer to join our growing data team. This individual will play a critical role in designing and maintaining robust data pipelines and integration processes, with a particular emphasis on Matillion, SSIS, Azure DevOps, and scalable ETL frameworks. The role requires strong collaboration across multiple teams to support the seamless movement, transformation, and accessibility of enterprise data. Role Responsibilities: • Design and implement data workflows using Matillion to support complex data transformation needs • Partner with analytics and business intelligence teams to gather requirements and deliver scalable data solutions • Develop and maintain custom Python components within Matillion to extend ETL capabilities • Continuously monitor and enhance pipeline performance to ensure efficient data handling • Coordinate with stakeholders such as database administrators and data analysts to ensure smooth data integration • Document ETL designs, configurations, and data flow logic for cross-team knowledge sharing • Build and deploy SSIS packages, managing job scheduling through ActiveBatch or similar tools • Utilize Azure DevOps for automated deployment processes, including release coordination and environment management • Conduct peer code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and established development standards • Provide advanced support and resolve escalated issues as part of a rotational on-call team • Familiarity with APIs and tools like Postman is a plus Ideal Candidate Profile: • A degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related discipline • Over 5 years of professional experience in data engineering, with a strong emphasis on cloud-based ETL systems • Deep expertise with tools such as Matillion, SSIS, and Azure DevOps pipelines • Solid command of SQL, Python, and modern data transformation techniques • Proven ability to identify and implement performance optimizations in data processing workflows • Excellent communication skills and experience working in agile, fast-paced environments
