Role description
CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Measurement Data Management β€’ Handle all measurement data for the transmission side of operations β€’ Acquire, analyze, and trend gas volume data, providing actionable results to stakeholders β€’ Identify and quantify issues contributing to L&U through data analysis and collaboration with teams such as Gas Operations, Accounting, Finance, Rates, and Financial Reporting Reporting & Analysis β€’ Develop, modify, and enhance reports to improve understanding and representation of L&U β€’ Review reports for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational realities β€’ Generate recommendations to simplify or enhance reporting processes β€’ Provide training and technical assistance to colleagues on L&U reports and resolution Systems & Tools β€’ Extract data from SAP, PGAS (Pipeline Gas Accounting System), and other relevant platforms β€’ Manipulate, scrub, and review data for reporting and analysis β€’ Work with internally developed reports, PGAS data (including LNU PGAS), and potentially Pvision (data visualization/reporting tool) β€’ Use SAP and PGAS as primary platforms for data management Process Improvement β€’ Work to balance distribution, transportation, and storage systems β€’ Develop and implement processes to quantify and resolve measurement discrepancies DAY TO DAY β€’ Extract and clean data from SAP and PGAS β€’ Manipulate and review data for reporting and analysis β€’ Develop and maintain internal reports β€’ Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve L&U issues β€’ Train and support team members on measurement data and reporting MUST HAVES β€’ 5+ years of experience in data analytics, demonstrating: β€’ Deep understanding of data flow between multiple sources and systems β€’ Expertise in generating and interpreting reports β€’ Proficiency in extracting data from various databases β€’ Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage timing dependencies β€’ Strong organizational skills to maintain and adhere to reporting schedules β€’ Advanced Excel proficiency, including: β€’ Mastery of Power Query and advanced data manipulation techniques β€’ Ability to identify and troubleshoot errors or inconsistencies in Excel data and formulas β€’ Creative and knowledgeable use of Excel for complex data analysis β€’ Hands-on experience with SAP for data extraction and management β€’ Education Requirement: β€’ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related technical field with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR β€’ Associate’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR β€’ High school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience PLUSSES β€’ Prior experience with Tableau, Smartsheets, or other data visualization tools β€’ Experience with PGAS and/or Pvision β€’ GIS experience β€’ Prior knowledge in revenue management β€’ Willingness to learn new tools (e.g., Tableau)
