Measurement Data Analyst

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES: Measurement Data Management • Handle all measurement data for the transmission side of operations • Acquire, analyze, and trend gas volume data, providing actionable results to stakeholders • Identify and quantify issues contributing to L&U through data analysis and collaboration with teams such as Gas Operations, Accounting, Finance, Rates, and Financial Reporting Reporting & Analysis • Develop, modify, and enhance reports to improve understanding and representation of L&U • Review reports for accuracy, consistency, and alignment with operational realities • Generate recommendations to simplify or enhance reporting processes • Provide training and technical assistance to colleagues on L&U reports and resolution Systems & Tools • Extract data from SAP, PGAS (Pipeline Gas Accounting System), and other relevant platforms • Manipulate, scrub, and review data for reporting and analysis • Work with internally developed reports, PGAS data (including LNU PGAS), and potentially Pvision (data visualization/reporting tool) • Use SAP and PGAS as primary platforms for data management Process Improvement • Work to balance distribution, transportation, and storage systems • Develop and implement processes to quantify and resolve measurement discrepancies DAY TO DAY • Extract and clean data from SAP and PGAS • Manipulate and review data for reporting and analysis • Develop and maintain internal reports • Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve L&U issues • Train and support team members on measurement data and reporting MUST HAVES • 5+ years of experience in data analytics, demonstrating: • Deep understanding of data flow between multiple sources and systems • Expertise in generating and interpreting reports • Proficiency in extracting data from various databases • Ability to coordinate with cross-functional teams and manage timing dependencies • Strong organizational skills to maintain and adhere to reporting schedules • Advanced Excel proficiency, including: • Mastery of Power Query and advanced data manipulation techniques • Ability to identify and troubleshoot errors or inconsistencies in Excel data and formulas • Creative and knowledgeable use of Excel for complex data analysis • Hands-on experience with SAP for data extraction and management • Education Requirement: • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Accounting, Business, Computer Science, or related technical field with at least 1 year of relevant experience, OR • Associate’s degree with 3 years of relevant experience, OR • High school diploma with 5 years of relevant experience PLUSSES • Prior experience with Tableau, Smartsheets, or other data visualization tools • Experience with PGAS and/or Pvision • GIS experience • Prior knowledge in revenue management • Willingness to learn new tools (e.g., Tableau)
