Role description
Medical Insights Analyst Location: Stockley Park, London Working Pattern: Hybrid – 3 days onsite, 2 days remote Contract: 12-month contract Pay Rate: £22.97 per hour PAYE PE Global is currently recruiting for a Medical Insights Analyst to join the Medical Affairs organisation of a leading global biopharmaceutical company on an initial 12-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity for an early-career professional with a background in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Healthcare, Research, Insights or Analytics to gain valuable experience within a global Medical Affairs environment. The successful candidate will support integrated medical insights processes and innovative programmes, including AI-enabled insights capture and synthesis, helping Medical Affairs teams generate meaningful insights that inform strategic and tactical decision-making. We are looking for someone who is analytical, proactive and highly detail-oriented, with an interest in using data and emerging technologies to identify trends, generate insights and support business decisions. Key Responsibilities • Support integrated insights workflows, including data capture, synthesis and reporting. • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to support medical insights initiatives that inform strategic and tactical planning. • Analyse internal and external data sources to identify insight themes, trends and implications. • Support insights governance activities, including documentation, quality control and compliance monitoring. • Contribute to innovation initiatives designed to enhance insights generation and analytical capabilities. • Support the adoption of AI-enabled ways of working across Medical Affairs. • Help translate complex information and data into clear, meaningful and actionable insights. • Contribute to data visualisation and storytelling to effectively communicate findings to stakeholders. Candidate Requirements Essential • Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy or another relevant scientific or analytical discipline. • 0–2 years' relevant experience within insights, analytics, Medical Affairs, market research, evidence generation or a related pharmaceutical/biopharmaceutical environment. • Relevant postgraduate research, fellowships or industry placement experience will also be considered. • Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret and synthesise complex information and datasets. • Understanding of insights generation processes and the use of data to support decision-making. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills. • Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders. • A proactive approach, with the ability to identify opportunities and contribute to continuous improvement. Desirable • Advanced scientific qualification such as MPharm, MSc, PhD or equivalent. • Knowledge or experience within Virology and/or Liver therapeutic areas. • Understanding of Medical Affairs ways of working and relevant data sources. • Experience with data visualisation and insight storytelling. • Understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), prompt engineering or AI-enabled analytics tools (highly advantageous) • Interest in emerging technologies and their application within Medical Affairs.
