Role description
Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Metadata Modeler to join our dynamic information management team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining comprehensive metadata models that underpin our data architecture and knowledge management systems. Your expertise will enable us to organize complex data assets efficiently, support semantic web initiatives, and enhance data discoverability across various platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in data modeling, ontologies, and semantic web technologies, contributing to the development of scalable and interoperable metadata frameworks that align with organizational goals.
Responsibilities
The role requires demonstrated expertise in data governance strategy and hands-on experience with Collibra and DCAT
STRENGTHS:
Good data modeling knowledge
Hands-on experience with Erwin Data Modeler
AREAS OF CONCERN:
No experience with DCAT open standards or data exchange frameworks
Limited understanding of Collibra core concepts
Appears to lack hands-on Collibra implementation experience
RECOMMENDATION:
The candidate's skill gaps in data standards and Collibra platform expertise do not align with TD Bank's job requirements, I do not recommend moving forward with this candidate.
Data Governance Strategy: Unable to articulate strategic concepts or frameworks with clarity
DCAT & Collibra: Lacked depth of knowledge and practical experience with these platforms
Communication: Responses were hesitant and lacked confidence
Concerns:
Extended pauses during questioning suggested potential reliance on external resources or web rather than demonstrated expertise
Answers did not reflect hands-on experience or strategic understanding
Work Location: In person
