Role description
Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer £500-550 p/day via umbrella company Initial 6-Month Contract Remote with infrequent client workshops We're supporting a growing consultancy delivering enterprise data and AI programmes and are looking for a hands-on Microsoft Fabric Data Engineer to join the team. This role will focus on the design and delivery of modern data platforms using Microsoft Fabric. You'll work closely with clients to build scalable solutions, contribute to data strategy discussions and help guide organisations through their data transformation journey. Required Experience • Strong Microsoft Fabric experience • Data Engineering and ETL development • Fabric Lakehouse • Data Modelling • Azure Data Platform • Building scalable data solutions • Stakeholder engagement and workshop participation • Client-facing consulting experience Desirable Experience • Databricks • Azure Data Factory • Spark • AI / GenAI use cases • Analytics and reporting platforms Key Requirement We're looking for someone who is hands-on technically but also understands how data platforms should be structured. Experience designing and implementing solutions using Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver and Gold layers) is highly desirable, alongside the ability to advise clients on best practice and platform design.
