Position Summary:
We are seeking a talented Microsoft Power Platform Developer to support the ongoing modernization and low-code development initiatives. This role focuses on building and maintaining custom applications using Microsoft Power Platformβparticularly Canvas apps and Power Automateβto streamline tracking systems regulatory needs.
This position requires a strong development background, creative problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams while navigating the constraints of low-code platforms.
Key Responsibilities
β’ Design, develop, and deploy Microsoft Power Platform solutions, with an emphasis on Canvas apps and Power Automate workflows
β’ Create templates and generate custom documents; implement JavaScript solutions for specialized needs like rich text to Word document conversions
β’ Integrate REST APIs and support front-end and back-end system connections, including collaboration with Oracle database administrators
β’ Utilize and maintain custom connectors, and occasionally work with model-driven apps for specific use cases
β’ Collaborate closely with environmental program staff to understand functional requirements and translate them into effective solutions
β’ Identify and creatively solve platform limitations through custom scripting and design

Required Qualification
β’ Proven experience developing with Microsoft Power Platform, especially Canvas apps and Power Automat
β’ Proficiency in JavaScript, API integration, and object-oriented development principle
β’ Experience integrating front-end and back-end systems via REST API
β’ Understanding of relational databases; ability to collaborate with teams managing Oracle database
β’ Strong analytical thinking and creative problem-solving abilities
β’ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with diverse stakeholder
Preferred Qualification
β’ Experience using custom connectors and model-driven app
β’ Prior work in public sector or regulatory environments, particularly in health, safety, or environmental program
β’ Familiarity with legacy system modernization and change management.
