Mid/Senior ETL Informatica PowerCenter Data Engineer Onsite In Sacramento 2 days a week and 3 days remote Position Summary We are seeking a Mid to Senior ETL Data Engineer with strong experience in Informatica PowerCenter to design, develop, and support enterprise data integration solutions. This role will focus on building scalable ETL pipelines, optimizing data movement, and supporting enterprise data warehouse initiatives. The ideal candidate has a strong background in SQL, relational databases, data modeling, and ETL best practices, with experience working in Agile environments. Responsibilities • Design, develop, enhance, and maintain ETL workflows using Informatica PowerCenter. • Develop complex mappings, mapplets, reusable transformations, workflows, sessions, and parameter files. • Create and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, views, and database objects to support ETL processes. • Design, build, and support enterprise data warehouse (EDW) and data integration solutions. • Analyze source system data and translate business requirements into technical ETL designs. • Perform performance tuning and optimization of Informatica workflows, SQL queries, and database processes. • Troubleshoot ETL failures, data quality issues, and production support incidents. • Work closely with business analysts, data architects, application developers, and business stakeholders to deliver scalable data solutions. • Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and adherence to data governance standards. • Participate in code reviews, unit testing, system integration testing, and production deployments. • Create technical documentation, ETL specifications, data mapping documents, and operational procedures. • Support production releases and participate in on-call support as needed. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of ETL development experience. • 4+ years of hands-on Informatica PowerCenter development experience. • Strong SQL development skills with experience writing complex queries and stored procedures. • Experience working with Oracle, SQL Server, DB2, Teradata, or other relational databases. • Experience developing and supporting enterprise ETL workflows and data warehouse solutions. • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts including star schema and dimensional modeling. • Experience with ETL performance tuning and optimization. • Experience working with Unix/Linux scripting. • Experience using Git, Azure DevOps, Jira, or similar version control and Agile tools. • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. • Strong verbal and written communication skills. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with Informatica Intelligent Cloud Services (IICS/IDMC). • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform. • Experience with Snowflake, Azure Synapse, Redshift, or other cloud data warehouses. • Experience with Python or Shell scripting for ETL automation. • Familiarity with data governance, data quality, and master data management concepts. • Experience in healthcare, financial services, insurance, manufacturing, or retail environments. • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated ETL deployments.
