Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and passionate AI/ML Engineer to join our team in building advanced machine learning solutions in the healthcare domain. This role focuses on the development of cutting-edge AI/ML algorithms applied to medical imaging modalities such as X-rays, CT scans, ultrasounds, as well as Electronic Medical Records (EMR) and Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS).
The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in designing, implementing, and deploying AI/ML models for healthcare applications, with a strong focus on diagnostic support and patient outcome improvement.
Key Responsibilities:
β’ Design and develop AI/ML models for analyzing medical images (X-rays, CT, Ultrasound) to support diagnostic workflows.
β’ Integrate and analyze structured and unstructured data from EMRs to enhance clinical decision-making.
β’ Develop and optimize Clinical Decision Support Systems (CDSS) using predictive modeling and natural language processing (NLP).
β’ Collaborate with cross-functional teams including radiologists, clinicians, data scientists, and software engineers.
β’ Evaluate model performance using appropriate metrics and ensure models meet regulatory and ethical standards for healthcare applications.
β’ Translate research into production-ready algorithms with a focus on scalability and real-world usability.
β’ Stay current with advancements in AI/ML in healthcare, including FDA/CE regulations and data privacy standards (HIPAA, GDPR, etc.).
Required Qualifications:
β’ M.S. or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
β’ Proven experience in developing and deploying machine learning models on medical imaging data (e.g., CNNs, transformers for vision).
β’ Strong understanding of healthcare data (DICOM, HL7, FHIR, EMR systems).
β’ Experience with deep learning frameworks such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or similar.
β’ Knowledge of NLP techniques for clinical text mining and EMR processing.
β’ Familiarity with regulatory and ethical guidelines in medical AI applications.
β’ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
β’ Publications or patents in medical AI/ML.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure) and MLOps pipelines.
β’ Background in working with FDA-cleared AI tools or clinical trials.
