Job Summary:
We are seeking a seasoned MuleSoft ESB Developer with strong experience in developing and maintaining enterprise integration solutions using MuleSoft Anypoint Platform. The ideal candidate will have 8+ years of experience, including at least 4+ years in MuleSoft, and a solid background working in the banking or financial services domain. This is a long-term onsite role in New Jersey, offering a dynamic environment and an opportunity to contribute to high-impact integration projects.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and implement MuleSoft APIs and integrations across banking systems and third-party applications.
Utilize MuleSoft Anypoint Studio, API Manager, and Runtime Manager to build scalable and secure solutions.
Develop RESTful and SOAP APIs, data transformations, and system orchestration using DataWeave.
Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and backend teams to define and implement integration flows.
Ensure best practices are followed in the design and implementation of APIs, including security, governance, and reusability.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues across environments (development, QA, production).
Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and documentation processes.
Support CI/CD pipeline integration and assist in performance tuning of integration flows.
Required Qualifications:
Minimum 8+ years of IT experience in enterprise application development, with 4+ years of hands-on MuleSoft development.
Proven experience in banking or financial services domains.
Deep expertise in MuleSoft ESB, API-led connectivity, and microservices architecture.
Proficient in DataWeave, RAML, OAuth2, and API gateway policies.
Strong knowledge of integration design patterns, message queuing (e.g., JMS), and event-driven architecture.
Experience with MuleSoft CloudHub, On-Premise Runtime, or Hybrid Deployments.
Solid understanding of security, error handling, and logging for APIs and services.
Familiar with Git, Jenkins, and other DevOps tools for automated deployments.
Preferred Qualifications:
MuleSoft Certified Developer (Level 1 or Level 2)
Experience with banking systems, payment gateways, or compliance-related integrations
Exposure to containerization (Docker, Kubernetes) and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
