Role description
Duration: 6+ months Payrate: $45-50/hr Location: Remote Description: We are seeking a skilled NoSQL Engineer with expertise in MongoDB (Enterprise and Atlas) and Neo4j. The ideal candidate will possess strong development skills, experience with GitOps workflows, proficiency in Kubernetes deployments, and a solid background in cloud environments. Technical Expertise: • In-depth knowledge of MongoDB (Enterprise and Atlas) architecture, administration, performance tuning, backup/restore, and security best practices • Hands-on experience designing and managing Neo4j graph databases • Proficiency with Kubernetes for container orchestration and deployment of database workloads, Terraform deployment and management • Strong familiarity with GitOps tools and practices (such as ArgoCD, Flux) for managing infrastructure and application lifecycle • Experience in developing and automating solutions using Python and JavaScript • Expertise in cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform), including database provisioning, scaling, monitoring, and cost optimization Operational Support: • Provide ongoing operational support for MongoDB and Neo4j databases, including incident response, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis • Monitor database health, performance, and security, proactively addressing issues and implementing improvements • Ensure compliance with enterprise policies, security controls, and audit requirements • Participate in on-call rotation and support disaster recovery, backup, and restore procedures • Collaborate with engineering and DevOps teams to optimize deployments and maintain high availability Responsibilities: • Design, implement, and maintain MongoDB Enterprise and Atlas solutions • Optimize and manage Neo4j database deployments • Integrate and operate NoSQL services within Kubernetes environments • Employ GitOps methodologies for infrastructure and database lifecycle management • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure secure, robust, and scalable data solutions in the cloud Qualifications: • Proven experience with MongoDB Enterprise and Atlas administration and development • Hands-on expertise with Neo4j • Proficiency in Kubernetes, GitOps tools (such as ArgoCD, Flux), Terraform • Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, Google Cloud Platform) • Development experience with Python and JavaScript is highly desirable • Excellent communication and documentation skills 25-00844
