Role description
Role: OnBase Engineer
Contract: 6 months - with potential to extend depending on work demand
Location: Remote
Rate: $64.15/hour W2
The client is seeking a skilled OnBase Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise content management solutions using Hyland OnBase. This role is critical in streamlining healthcare workflows, ensuring compliance, and enhancing operational efficiency across our clinical and administrative systems.
Responsibilities
β’ Design and configure OnBase solutions including Workflow, WorkView, Unity Forms, and Document Imaging
β’ Integrate OnBase with healthcare systems such as Epic, Cerner, or other EHR platforms
β’ Collaborate with business analysts and stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into scalable OnBase solutions
β’ Develop and maintain custom scripts, APIs, and automation tools
β’ Ensure HIPAA compliance and data security across all OnBase implementations
β’ Provide ongoing support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning for OnBase environments
β’ Document system configurations, workflows, and integration processes
β’ Design and implement event capture capabilities to support real-time data tracking, auditing, and workflow triggers across healthcare systems
Qualifications
β’ Bachelorβs degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
β’ 3+ years of experience with Hyland OnBase development and administration
β’ Several years of experience in event capture capabilities, including designing and integrating event-driven architectures or audit trails
β’ Strong understanding of ECM, workflow automation, and document management
β’ Experience with REST APIs, SQL, and C# or JavaScript
β’ Familiarity with healthcare regulations and standards (HIPAA, HL7, etc.)
β’ OnBase certifications (OCWA, OCWV, OCAPI) preferred
Preferred Skills
β’ Experience with OnBase Integration for Epic or other EHRs
β’ Knowledge of cloud-based deployments and virtual environments
β’ Strong communication and documentation skills
β’ Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams
