Online Merchandise Data Analyst

Youβll contribute to a variety of projects that directly support digital commerce strategy. This role is highly visible within the organization, with regular interaction with senior leadership.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
β’ Analyze data to evaluate whether promotional strategies make financial and operational sense
β’ Assess product performance through pricing and margin analysis
β’ Conduct competitor research to identify market trends and opportunities
β’ Work with large data sets, applying Excel functions such as VLOOKUPs and pivot tables
β’ Apply business math and analysis to evaluate potential new product onboarding
β’ Provide project coordination support to ensure initiatives are delivered on time
This is a 4-month contract opportunity with the potential to extend or transition into a permanent role. Itβs a chance to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced industry while contributing to a collaborative and energetic team environment. Candidates should be based in the greater Atlanta area and will have the flexibility to work from home.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
β’ 2+ years of professional experience in roles such as merchandising, pricing, digital commerce, or financial analysis
β’ Hands-on experience writing and executing SQL queries
β’ Comfortable handling and analyzing large volumes of data
β’ Strong analytical skills with the ability to draw actionable insights from data
β’ Advanced Excel skills, including functions like VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables
β’ Understanding of, or ability to quickly learn, key retail metrics (e.g., margin, markup, sell-through)
β’ Excellent communication and presentation skills
β’ Bachelorβs degree in a relevant discipline (Finance, Marketing, Analytics, Industrial Engineering, or similar)
