LOCATION- Warren NJ (Hybrid – 3 days WFO)
Native Engineer to join our team to design, develop, and maintain customer communications applications tailored for the Property and Casualty (P&C) insurance sector. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in OpenText Exstream, experience in cloud-native architectures, and a strong understanding of insurance-specific document generation and distribution requirements (e.g., policies issuance, renewals, cancellation etc).
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
• Design and implement scalable, cloud-native OpenText Exstream CCM solutions for P&C insurance communication workflows.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain interactive, on-demand, and batch document templates and processes using OpenText Exstream tools.
• Collaborate with business analysts, underwriters, claims professionals, and IT teams to gather requirements and deliver customized communication solutions.
• Optimize document generation and distribution processes for performance, regulatory compliance, and personalization.
• Integrate Exstream with enterprise systems such as policy administration systems, and content repositories (e.g., OpenText ECM, Guidewire, Duck Creek, etc.). Guidewire preferred.
• Support migration from legacy Exstream or other CCM platforms to cloud-native OpenText Exstream.
• Troubleshoot and resolve production issues and conduct root cause analysis for document generation errors.
• Ensure adherence to industry best practices, data security, and compliance standards, especially for regulated insurance documents.
• Document solutions, technical configurations, and support guides.
TECHNICAL QUALIFICATIONS
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 4+ years of experience working with OpenText Exstream CCM (Design Manager, Empower Editor, StoryTeller, etc.).
• Hands-on experience with OpenText Exstream Cloud Edition (CE) and containerized/cloud-native deployment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Strong understanding of customer communications in P&C insurance, including policies, declarations, endorsements, etc.
• Experience with scripting (e.g., JavaScript, VBScript), XML, and APIs (REST/SOAP).
• Knowledge of version control (e.g., Git), CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with PDF generation, print/mail integration, and omnichannel delivery.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or within a team.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience integrating Exstream with core insurance platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Duck Creek, Majesco).
• Understanding of regulatory compliance requirements (e.g., NAIC, state DOI requirements).
• Exposure to OpenText Intelligent Capture, OpenText xPression, or Documentum is a plus.
• Certification in OpenText Exstream or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure) is a plus.
