Operations & Billing Analyst - Consultant

Location: Remote, US-based. Length of contract: 1 year anticipated with possibility of extensions. Team: Infrastructure & Service Delivery Location: Remote (US) or Atlanta HQ Type: Full-time Overview This role bridges field operations, finance, and project management. The analyst gathers data from multiple systems, reconciles billing and change orders, and streamlines technology?cost visibility (hardware, truck rolls, and services). They’ll uncover inefficiencies and present findings that improve billing accuracy and turnaround time. Key Responsibilities • Collect and reconcile data from billing systems, purchase orders, and field reports. • Track and analyze change orders, truck?roll activity, and technology purchases. • Summarize billing and cost data into executive?ready dashboards. • Maintain organized records for each project: billing status, invoices, vendor costs. • Partner with PMs, engineers, and finance to resolve discrepancies. • Build spreadsheet automations to calculate burn rate and margin per project. • Recommend and implement process improvements to shorten billing cycles. Qualifications • 3–5 years in operations, project accounting, or data analysis (services or technology). Experience supporting international supply chain operations. • Strong Excel/Sheets skills (pivots, lookups, conditional logic). • Experience reconciling multiple data sources and managing change?order workflows. • Excellent organization and communication; analytical and detail?oriented. • Familiarity with ERP/billing tools and service?desk workflows a plus. Success Indicators • Billing discrepancies caught before invoicing. • Change?order cycle time reduced. • Truck?roll and field?service costs aligned with project budgets. Tools & Systems Excel/Google Sheets, ERP or billing software (Oracle, NetSuite, SAP, etc.), Jira or ServiceNow, SharePoint; Power BI/Looker Studio preferred.
