This role requires an independent, analytical thinker who thrives in cross-functional environments and can transform raw data into clear stories for decision-making.Key Responsibilities:Data Analysis & Reporting β€’ Analyze business data to uncover trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvement. β€’ Collect, clean, and integrate data from SAP, Foundry, GIS, and Copperleaf. β€’ Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations in Power BI or Tableau. β€’ Create automated data routines to ensure accuracy and consistency. Business Collaboration β€’ Work with cross-functional teams to translate business needs into data-driven solutions. β€’ Respond to ad-hoc data requests and support operational decision-making. Technical Data Handling β€’ Write SQL queries in Oracle or Business Objects. β€’ Use GIS tools for spatial data analysis and mapping. β€’ Apply Copperleaf for lifecycle cost and asset investment planning. β€’ Manage data extraction and secure transfer to analysts for operational use. Required Experience: β€’ BA/BS in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent work experience) β€’ Advanced Microsoft Excel/Access (VBA, complex formulas, graphing) β€’ Power BI and Tableau expertise β€’ SQL query writing in Oracle or Business Objects β€’ Base-SAS and programming (Visual Basic, Perl, C, Python) β€’ Familiarity with utility operations Nice-to-Have Experience: β€’ Strong trend analysis and insight generation skills β€’ Experience in cross-functional collaboration β€’ Ability to communicate data findings to both technical and non-technical audiences Required Skills: β€’ Advanced Excel and Access (including VBA) β€’ Power BI and Tableau β€’ SQL in Oracle/Business Objects Preferred Skills: β€’ Base-SAS and scripting/programming (Visual Basic, Perl, C, Python) β€’ GIS data analysis β€’ Copperleaf asset management β€’ Data cleaning and automation Additional Skills: β€’ Storytelling with data for decision support β€’ Experience with SAP and Foundry β€’ Ad-hoc analysis and operational data reporting Benefits: β€’ Medical, Vision, and Dental Insurance Plans β€’ 401k Retirement Fund About the Client: Leading natural gas and electric energy company serving millions of customers across the United States.
