Overview of the Role
β’ As the Optimizely Lead Developer for clientβs website upgrade, you will spearhead the modernization and enhancement of a high-visibility digital asset.
β’ This pivotal role requires deep technical expertise and strong leadership to deliver a seamless, scalable, and innovative web platform aligned with business objectives.
β’ You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful implementation of Optimizely (formerly Episerver) solutions, driving both technical excellence and business value.
Detailed Responsibilities
β’ Lead the end-to-end website upgrade project using Optimizely, ensuring timely delivery and high-quality outcomes.
β’ Architect, design, and develop robust, scalable web applications, leveraging Optimizely CMS and Commerce.
β’ Collaborate with business stakeholders, project managers, UX/UI designers, and other developers to translate requirements into technical solutions.
β’ Integrate third-party services, APIs, and legacy systems for seamless functionality.
β’ Conduct code reviews, enforce best practices, and mentor junior developers on Optimizely and web technologies.
β’ Oversee migration activities, ensuring data integrity and minimal disruption to business operations.
β’ Troubleshoot, optimize, and enhance performance, security, and reliability of the website.
β’ Maintain documentation, provide technical support, and contribute to post-launch stabilization efforts.
β’ Stay updated on the latest Optimizely features, industry standards, and web technology trends.
Skill Requirements
β’ Bachelorβs or Masterβs degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
β’ Minimum 5 years of experience in web development, with at least 2 years leading projects using Optimizely (CMS/Commerce.
β’ Strong proficiency in .NET/C#, ASP.NET MVC, HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and related web technologies.
β’ Experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), DevOps practices, and CI/CD pipelines.
β’ Proven ability to lead teams, manage multiple priorities, and deliver complex projects in fast-paced environments.
β’ Excellent problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
β’ Optimizely certifications are highly desirable.
Other Requirements (Optional)
β’ Experience with ClubCorp or similar membership-based platforms is a plus.
β’ Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies.
β’ Knowledge of accessibility standards and SEO best practices.
β’ Exposure to personalization, analytics, and marketing automation tools.
