Role description
Preferred License/Certification: AWS Cloud Certification Required Qualifications / Skills / Experience: Minimum 12 years of experience developing complex database systems Minimum 8 years of experience with Databricks Minimum 8 years of experience with Elasticsearch and Kibana Minimum 8 years of experience programming with Python or Scala Minimum 8 years of experience working with Oracle databases Minimum 5 years of experience with Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL) processes and developing data pipelines Minimum 5 years of experience working with AWS cloud services Over 5 years of experience with data warehousing, data visualization tools, and maintaining data integrity Over 5 years of experience using CMM/CMMI Level 3 methods and practices Over 5 years of experience implementing Agile development processes, including test-driven development Strong experience designing both logical and physical database models Experience executing the full software development life cycle (SDLC) including requirements gathering and technical specification development Experience developing database objects such as stored procedures and functions Experience using source control tools such as Git Experience working on large Agile development projects Preferred Qualifications / Skills / Experience: Experience or knowledge creating CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps Experience with AWS cloud-based application development and architecture Experience working with Databricks, Elasticsearch, Kibana, and AWS S3 Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and HL7 integration solutions Experience implementing Elastic Search engines for data retrieval and analytics Experience with data visualization platforms and enterprise data platforms Experience developing technical documentation, design documentation, and system specifications Experience reviewing system design artifacts including flowcharts, screen layouts, and system documentation Experience providing technical leadership or mentoring other developers Job Duties: Lead the design and development of scalable and high-performance solutions using AWS cloud services Design and implement data pipelines and ETL processes to support enterprise data systems Develop and maintain applications using Python or Scala Implement and manage Elasticsearch and Kibana for data indexing, search, and analytics Develop and maintain database structures, stored procedures, and data models Support data warehousing and data visualization solutions to improve data accessibility and analysis Execute full software development life cycle (SDLC) processes including requirements gathering, system design, development, testing, and deployment Create and maintain software design documentation and technical specifications Collaborate with stakeholders to review requirements and ensure alignment with business needs Maintain source code using Git and support version control best practices Participate in Agile development teams and follow Agile methodologies including test-driven developmen Assist with CI/CD pipeline development and automation using tools such as Azure DevOps Provide technical leadership and guidance to development team members Ensure application stability, data integrity, and compliance with organizational standards Support modernization efforts for enterprise applications that manage public health surveillance, registries, and case management systems Monitor automated processes and ensure critical business workflows operate correctly Identify and resolve system issues that could impact application performance, availability, or data accuracy Participate in system maintenance, enhancements, and implementation of new features Provide technical oversight for development activities supporting related enterprise systems Job Types: Contract, Temporary Pay: $57.00 per hour Work Location: In person
