Our client, a leading organization in the technology and data management sector, is seeking a Database Engineer IV- to join their team. As a Database Engineer IV-, you will be part of the Data Management Department supporting enterprise database solutions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, excellent communication, and a proactive approach to problem-solving, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Database Engineer IV- Location:Berkeley Heights, NJ Pay Range:$70 What's the Job? Design, install, maintain, and upgrade enterprise production databases to ensure optimal performance and reliability. Collaborate with clients, business analysts, and developers to translate business requirements into effective database solutions. Monitor and analyze database performance metrics, implementing improvements and troubleshooting issues as they arise. Implement and test disaster recovery and high availability solutions, including clustering and replication technologies. Perform database security management, including user provisioning, auditing, and compliance adherence. What's Needed? Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Science, or equivalent work experience. Hands-on experience supporting Oracle databases, including versions 12.1 through 19c, with expertise in RAC or ExaData/ExaCC/ExaCS environments. Proficiency in database installation, upgrading, migrating, patching, and disaster recovery procedures. Experience with Oracle OEM, RMAN backup and restore, and performance monitoring tools. Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Shell, and PowerShell, along with Unix/Linux operating systems. What's in it for me?
