Role description
Job Description Morton is seeking an Oracle Fusion Engineer (Oracle Government Cloud – ERP System) to support enterprise resource planning initiatives within a secure cloud environment. In this role, the selected candidate will work with a cross-functional team responsible for the design, configuration, development, integration, and ongoing support of Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP solutions deployed in the Oracle Government Cloud environment. This role ensures system reliability, security compliance, and optimal performance while supporting business-critical financial, procurement, human capital, and operational workflows. The ideal candidate combines deep Oracle Fusion ERP functional expertise with strong technical engineering capabilities, particularly in secure, regulated environments such as government or public sector cloud deployments. Responsibilities: Oracle Fusion ERP Development & Support • Design, document, develop, configure, and maintain Oracle Fusion ERP modules, including: • Human Capital Management (HCM) • Financials (GL, AP, AR) • Procurement (Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Portal) • Project Financial Management (PPM) • Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) ERP Environment Management • Manage ERP environments hosted in Oracle Government Cloud • Maintain data governance and security best practices, including knowledge of government cloud security requirements • Monitor system availability, performance, and security logs • Troubleshoot production issues and perform root cause analysis • Optimize system performance and user experience Patch & Release Management • Support Oracle quarterly/monthly updates and patches • Coordinate environment refreshes, patching, and deployment cycles • Analyze release notes and perform impact assessments • Coordinate system integration testing (SIT) and user acceptance testing (UAT) Integration Development • Design and maintain integrations using: • REST/SOAP APIs • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) • File-Based Data Imports/Exports (FBDI) Reporting & Analytics • Support advanced reporting and analytics requirements by developing custom solutions using: • Oracle BI Publisher (BIP) • Oracle Transactional Business Intelligence (OTBI) • Fast Formulas • Create dashboards, reports, and data extracts for stakeholders Stakeholder Collaboration • Partner with stakeholders to provide end-user support, gather requirements, and develop technical solutions Minimum Qualifications: • 3+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP • Extensive knowledge of Oracle security and permissions (roles, privileges, and data access) • Strong understanding of: • ERP architecture and data models • API-based integrations (REST/SOAP) • SQL and data analysis • Proficiency with Fusion Middleware / Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) • Hands-on experience with: • Oracle Fusion Financials, Procurement, and/or HCM • Oracle Integration Cloud (OIC) • BI Publisher / OTBI • FBDI and HDL data loads • Oracle security model (roles, privileges, data access) • Background in programming with proven experience in one or more programming languages • Basic knowledge of Linux operating systems and shell scripting • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a regulated environment • Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders • High attention to detail, especially in compliance-driven work • Familiarity with DevOps and release management processes Preferred Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience with Oracle Fusion Cloud ERP systems, including: • Human Capital Management (HCM) • Financials (GL, AP, AR) • Procurement (Purchasing, Sourcing, Supplier Portal) • Project Financial Management (PPM) • Enterprise Performance Management (EPM) • Hands-on experience with: • Oracle Identity and Access Management (IAM) • Single Sign-On (SSO) integrations • Oracle Visual Builder • Oracle APEX Oracle APEX • Smart View for Office Oracle Smart View for Office • Opkey ERP Test Automation Opkey • Jira • Oracle Cloud Certification (e.g., OCI Architect, Oracle Cloud Platform Application Integration) • Experience working in government or regulated cloud environments • Knowledge of Agile methodologies and DevOps tools
