Role Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Oracle Utilities Installer Engineer to join our team. This role is responsible for the installation, configuration, and initial setup of Oracle Utilities applications, including Customer Care and Billing (CCB), Mobile Workforce Management (MWM), Meter Data Management (MDM), Smart Grid Gateway (SGG), and SOA Suite. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in Oracle software installation and environment setup, including patch deployments, production readiness, and knowledge transfer. Candidates should be prepared to support after-hours and onsite/offsite configurations. Key Responsibilities: Installation & Configuration: Perform installation of Oracle Utilities applications and components across multiple environments. Configure systems in accordance with business, security, and technical specifications. Set up Oracle databases, middleware (WebLogic), and SOA infrastructure. System Customization & Integration: Customize Oracle Utilities modules based on client and project-specific requirements. Integrate Oracle Utilities with existing enterprise systems, including Smart Grid systems. Support API, SOA, and real-time data exchange configurations. Environment & Patch Management: Manage patches, updates, and version control for Oracle Utilities environments. Provide post-install validation and environment health checks. Coordinate patch deployment schedules and rollback planning. Technical Support & Documentation: Provide technical support during implementation, especially in production cutover windows. Troubleshoot configuration and installation-related issues. Document setup procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting guides. Collaboration & Knowledge Transfer: Collaborate with architects, system engineers, and client stakeholders. Conduct knowledge transfer to internal staff and client teams. Deliver user support documentation and conduct system walk-throughs. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field. Oracle certifications (e.g., Oracle Certified Associate or Professional) preferred. Experience: 5+ years of Oracle Utilities experience in installation and configuration roles. Proven track record installing Oracle CIS and related utility platforms. Experience with Oracle database and WebLogic administration. Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of Oracle Utilities (CCB, MWM, MDM, SGG, SOA Suite). Proficiency in PL/SQL, WebLogic, Oracle Database setup, and OCI environments. Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and scripting for automation. Experience with cloud migration or hybrid deployment architectures is a plus. Soft Skills: Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail, documentation, and system standardization. Ability to work independently and cross-functionally in dynamic client settings. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with utility or government IT infrastructure deployments. Experience in integrating Oracle Utilities with Smart Grid platforms and mobile workforces. Familiarity with cybersecurity and patch compliance frameworks.
