In this role, you’ll help maintain and analyze spatial data that drives better decision-making and improves services for our community. What You’ll Do • 🗺️ Edit and maintain GIS datasets to ensure accuracy and reliability. • 🛠️ Design schemas, manage tables, views, and data attribution. • 📊 Prepare clear reports and presentations for technical and non-technical audiences. • 🤝 Collaborate with the team and work independently on assigned projects. • ⏱️ Juggle multiple priorities while meeting deadlines. • 💡 Analyze problems and recommend smart, practical solutions. • 🌟 Advocate for data sharing and technology use to improve decision-making. What We’re Looking For (Required) • 1–2 years of GIS experience (internships and project experience count!). • Hands-on skills with: • ArcGIS Online, ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Desktop, ArcGIS Server, ArcGIS Mobile • Microsoft 365 Services & MS Visio • Strong communication skills—able to explain technical details clearly. • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable balancing multiple tasks. • A collaborative team player who can also thrive independently. Preferred Qualifications • Experience with SQL or relational database management. • Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau). • Knowledge of cartography principles and map design best practices. • Understanding of geospatial data standards and metadata management. • Prior experience working in a government or public sector environment.
