About the role
The Rare Patient Services Business Analyst is part of the U.S. Rare Patient Services team and will play a crucial part in supporting the Product Owner and users for our Patient CRM system, built on Salesforce Health Cloud. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual looking to launch their career in business analysis within the exciting and impactful pharmaceutical and health technology space. Support the Product Owner: Work closely with the Product Owner to understand the product vision, roadmap, and priorities for the Patient CRM system.
Requirements Gathering (Foundational): Support the Product Owner in eliciting, analyzing, and documenting basic business requirements in interviews, workshops, and document analysis to elicit, understand, and analyze business needs and translate them into clear, concise, and testable user stories, use cases, and process flows using Azure Dev Ops and Microsoft Office tools.
User Story & Acceptance Criteria Development (Assisted): Help translate business requirements into clear, concise user stories with well-defined acceptance criteria, working under the guidance of the Product Owner.
Backlog Management Support: Assist the Product Owner in maintaining and refining the product backlog, ensuring stories are well-articulated and prioritized.
Data Analysis (Basic): Conduct basic data analysis to identify trends, pain points, and opportunities for improvement within the CRM system.
Documentation: Create and maintain various project documentation, including process flows, user manuals, and training materials.
UAT Support: Assist in coordinating and executing user acceptance testing (UAT), gathering feedback, and reporting defects.
Communication: Facilitate communication between the Patient CRM team, development team, and business stakeholders.
Health Cloud Focus: Develop a foundational understanding of Salesforce Health Cloud capabilities and how they can be leveraged to optimize patient engagement and support processes.
Pharmaceutical Industry Context: Learn about the specific regulatory requirements (e.g., HIPAA, GxP, privacy regulations) and business processes unique to the pharmaceutical industry as they relate to patient data and CRM systems.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for process improvements and contribute to a culture of continuous learning within the team.

Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, or a related field.
Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex information clearly and concisely.
Interpersonal Skills: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
Technical Aptitude: Comfort with technology and a willingness to learn new systems quickly. Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) is a plus, but not required.
Initiative & Proactiveness: Eager to learn, take initiative, and contribute meaningfully to projects.
Organizational Skills: Strong organizational and time management skills.
