Role description
We’re looking for an experienced Payroll Data Migration Specialist to support the implementation of our new HCM system. This 12 month contract role is critical to ensuring a seamless migration of payroll data, protecting pay accuracy, compliance, and colleague trust during this exciting transformation.
What You’ll Be Doing:
You’ll take ownership of the payroll data migration workstream – leading the extraction, transformation, validation and upload of all payroll-related data into HCM. Working closely with HR, Finance, and the HR Data Migration Specialist, you’ll ensure payroll and HR datasets are aligned, clean, and fully tested to support a smooth go-live.
This includes overseeing data accuracy across:
Employee pay history
Salary, allowances, and deductions
Benefits and pensions
Tax codes, NI details, and statutory reporting
Year-to-date balances and compliance data
You’ll also play a key role in testing phases, supporting parallel pay runs, and ensuring all reconciliation is complete and accurate.
What You’ll Bring:
We’re looking for someone who is:
Highly experienced in payroll data migration
Confident working with payroll data structures, UK legislation, and reporting requirements.
Skilled in data cleansing, transformation, and reconciliation (advanced Excel a must).
Detail-oriented and accurate, with the ability to work to fixed payroll deadlines.
Collaborative, able to partner with both technical teams and operational payroll/HR stakeholders.
Knowledgeable in GDPR and data security best practice when handling sensitive payroll information.
What We Offer:
Leave Benefits: 33 days leave per year (inclusive of bank holidays).
Birthday Bonus: Enjoy an extra day off to celebrate your birthday.
Reward & Recognition Program: Your hard work won’t go unnoticed.
Perk Scheme: Get discounts at all your favorite stores.
Free or Discounted Parking: We’ve got a great spot for your car.
Cycle to Work Scheme: Get up to £1,000 towards a new bike.
Company Pension: Plan for your future with a generous pension contribution.
Death in Service Benefit: Providing peace of mind for you and your loved ones.
Employee Assistance Program: Your well-being matters to us, and we offer support when you need it.
Work-Life Balance: We believe in a healthy balance, providing a supportive environment for you to thrive.
Continuous Development: Access to ongoing training, coaching, and career development opportunities.
