Are you ready to use your technical expertise to improve the lives of children and young people? We are looking for a data-driven specialist to lead on SEND performance insights, utilizing tools like Power BI and SQL to transform complex datasets into strategic intelligence for nearly 100 schools across London. The Role • Lead the delivery of critical statutory SEND data returns, including the SEN2, ensuring 100% accuracy and compliance with DfE requirements. • Develop and maintain advanced data systems and automated reporting tools to support strategy, performance, and intelligence objectives. • Build and roll out dynamic Power BI dashboards that provide senior leaders and elected members with real-time performance visibility. • Translate complex operational requirements into technical data specifications, collaborating closely with ICT for system upgrades and SQL database management. • Act as a strategic consultant for schools, resolving validation errors and ensuring robust data-driven decision-making across the borough. What You'll Need • Extensive experience in data manipulation and statistical analysis using Power BI, SQL, or specialized education management systems. • Proven track record of handling statutory returns (ideally SEN2) and working with large-scale datasets in a public sector or education environment. • Strong technical proficiency in Excel (VLOOKUPs, Pivot Tables, Macros) combined with the ability to communicate insights to non-technical stakeholders. • Sharp attention to detail with experience in data validation, GDPR compliance, and translating legislative policy into technical workflows. • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to manage complex projects within tight statutory deadlines.
