Role description
The Job
As a Business Analyst, your mission is to bridge the gap between raw operational activity and high-level commercial strategy. Currently, our client's data tells different stories depending on who inputs it; your role is to fix that.
In thie job you will work with the group Finance Director, the CEO and the Head of IT.
You will define the "Single Source of Truth" by creating standardised protocols that ensure every team—from Sales to Finance—logs KPIs (like inward inquiries and lead qualifications) at the exact same stage of the lifecycle.
You aren’t just going to be building reports; you are auditing our data model, ensuring it’s fit for purpose, and then building the Power BI infrastructure from scratch using DAX to turn that clean data into actionable insights.
Key Responsibilities Include:
• Process Standardisation: Audit the current lead-to-conversion lifecycle to identify discrepancies in how KPIs are logged (e.g., qualifying a lead at "First Call" vs. "Qualified").
• Protocol Creation: Build and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to ensure data uniformity across the entire organization.
• Power BI Architecture: Develop, from the ground up, robust Power BI dashboards and reports using advanced DAX.
• Data Model Validation: Critically assess the current data model, identifying "leaks" in conversion rates and fixing structural issues that skew reporting.
• Stakeholder Navigation: Collaborate with Finance, Ops, and Tech to translate complex data models into clear business narratives that drive commercial decisions.
• Data Governance: Champion data accuracy and documentation, ensuring that "garbage in" never leads to "garbage out."
About You
We are looking for a technically-minded analyst who enjoys "under-the-hood" process work as much as front-end visualisation.
• The Architect: Proven experience building Power BI dashboards from scratch, including complex DAX measures and data modeling.
• The Auditor: A sharp eye for data discrepancies. You should be able to spot when a conversion rate is "miles off" and hunt down the procedural cause.
• The Communicator: You can tell a story with data but also have the backbone to enforce data-entry standards across different departments.
• Technical Stack: Strong proficiency in SQL/MySQL and a deep understanding of relational databases.
• Finance; You will have a good understanding of financial data
The Company
This is a dynamic and scaling business with about 200 employees. Their work is super interesting, the industry is LegalTech - but that doesn't describe how interesting the work is.
The team is super freindly and they have very nice offices in Central London.

This role offers a unique opportunity to:
• Make a tangible impact on business strategy and operations.
• Build something brand new on a greenfield site
• Work directly with the C-Suite
