Role description
Planner - 3-Month Contract | £425 per day (Inside IR35)
1 day a week on site either, Liverpool, Newcastle, Manchester, Leeds or London. Ability to travel around the country at least once a month
We're looking for an experienced Planner to provide authoritative planning leadership across a complex government programme. You'll own the integrated master schedule, maintain credible baselines and forecasts, and ensure a single source of truth for scope, time, resources and dependencies. The ideal candidate will hold active/lapsed SC clearance. Key Skills & Experience
• Strong UK government experience in complex programmes.
• Expert in integrated planning, scheduling and critical path management.
• Skilled in forecasting, scenario planning, capacity/demand alignment.
• Able to link planning with RAID management and assurance preparation.
• Confident communicator with senior stakeholders; able to challenge constructively.
• Hands-on with MS Project/Project for the Web, Planisware, Jira/Azure DevOps, Power BI.
• Comfortable working across Agile, Waterfall and Hybrid delivery.
• Able to drive planning standards, data quality and continuous improvement. What You'll Do
• Maintain programme-wide schedules and baselines.
• Produce delivery forecasts, options, scenarios and MI.
• Provide schedule insight for boards and senior leaders.
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and suppliers to build realistic, owned plans.
